Richard Blackaby, President of Blackaby Ministries International


Dr. Richard Blackaby, President of Blackaby Ministries International, will be the Keynote Speaker at this year’s Christ@Work Southwest Regional Conference. Richard earned a Bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Saskatchewan as well as a Master of Divinity and a Ph.D. in Church History from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was awarded a Doctor of Divinity by Dallas Baptist University. Richard served as senior pastor of Friendship Baptist Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba and then as president of the Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary in Cochrane, Alberta for thirteen years.

Richard is the oldest child of Henry and Marilynn Blackaby. He has been married to Lisa since 1983. They have three children: Mike attends Southeastern Baptist Seminary, Daniel is a third year university student at North Greenville University and Carrie is a freshman. They live in Greenville, South Carolina.

Richard is the Author/Co-Author of Spiritual Leadership, God in the Marketplace, Hearing God’s Voice, Experiencing God and many other titles.








Terence Chatmon, President & CEO, Fellowship of Companies For Christ International

Mature in his faith, he is a visionary and strong relationship-builder with a proven track record of integrity and fruitfulness. Humility and passion are hallmarks of his leadership, someone who will genuinely lead FCCI by daily Christian example.”
 
Following completion of studies in Marketing at the University of Illinois, Chatmon’s corporate business career included leadership positions at Johnson & Johnson, Citibank, and Coca Cola. Journeying into entrepreneurship, for 10 years, he was a multi-store Atlanta Bread Company franchisee. 

In the non-profit arena, he served as a church as teen ministry leader, later he became an elder at Perimeter Church in Atlanta, and a teacher for Bible Study Fellowship.  After authoring a popular Bible-based family enrichment course, Focus on the Family brought  him on staff in Colorado Springs as Vice President of Community Impact Outreach.  Terence's workshop materials, "Charting Your Family's Spiritual Course" is now a Focus on the Family product, distributed globally. Most recently, he served as President of Urban Ministries in Chicago, the largest independent African-American publishing and media company in the United States.




Gary Oppedahl, Founder, President and CEO of TBAB Health Care Services



Gary Oppedahl, has been a “serial entrepreneur” his whole life. An Electrical Engineer by degree, Gary started his career at Intel Corporation, where he held various engineering and management positions. While at Intel, Gary’s mother was diagnosed with a non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. This experience became a crash course in being a caregiver within the institutional and home healthcare systems. Gary’s career then took him from semiconductors, to semiconductor lasers to laser medical devices from California to Ireland and ultimately (with the birth of his Grandsons) back to New Mexico, where he was the CEO of a laser medical device company. In July of 2005, Gary formed TBAB (To Be A Blessing) Healthcare Services. TBAB has grown to offer services in homecare, institutions and hospitals with a staff of over 200 Nurses and Caregivers and annualized revenue of over $6 million. Gary is Chair of the Health Care Committee for the Assn of Commerce and Industry, Immediate Past President of the Case Managers Society of America, and Chairman of the Executive Association of Greater Albuquerque. Gary is a member of the Board of Directors for Silver Horizons, a senior support organization. Gary is a Big Brother in the Big Brother program working with at-risk youth and volunteers one day per week at “Noon Day” feeding the homeless. Gary’s purpose in life is to be a blessing, reduce fear, and promote peace of mind with whom all he encounters, and he is blessed to be able to work at this to the best of his ability every day.


Amanda Bergamo, Visionary and Founder of Beehive Technology, LLC.,



Amanda Bergamo has over twenty years of professional experience in building meaningful corporate and organization infrastructures as a leader, employee, consultant and volunteer. Prior to launching Beehive Technology, LLC in 2011, Amanda spent seven years as the Executive Director for a National Non-Profit Health Foundation serving all of New Mexico, and the El Paso, TX. region.  During this time and post, Amanda has served as in leadership and mentoring positions with local and national organizations such as President of Community Health Charities of New Mexico, Board Director and Mentor for Next Step Leader Mentoring, Sponsor and Volunteer Director for TEDxABQ 2011, Fundraising Captain for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation 2011, Annual Fundraising Volunteer for Concerns of Police Survivors, and the Amarillo, TX “100” Club, through the Myrick 5k, Hereford, TX, Sponsor and Director of the 2012 Albuquerque Chick-fil-a Leadercast , and member and “follower” in her FCCI bible study group.










Michael Cosgrove, Executive Director, True North Financial Ministries



Mike served in the United States Air Force, retiring in 1996.  In deciding on a second career, he was looking for something that impacted people daily and gave him an opportunity to serve families in need.  Realizing that nearly everyone seemed to be searching for answers regarding finances, he became a Financial Planner, serving in the Albuquerque area from 1996-2001.  He was then selected to be the Director of Training for an international financial organization and served in the Dallas/Fort Worth area until 2005.

In 2005, Mike felt a calling to become a full time missionary, using his financial expertise to help families increase savings, eliminate debt, and reach their goals.  Mike and his True North Financial Ministries team serve communities throughout New Mexico and Texas.

He and his wife Karen have been married 35 years and have three sons, each of whom serves in our nation’s armed forces. 








Virgil L. Dugan, President of the Tijeras Foundation



Tijeras Foundation’s purpose is to “enhance, elevate, and encourage Biblically based, Christian ministries in New Mexico and around the world”.  Prior to this position Virgil spent 34 years with Sandia National Laboratories where he managed research and development programs and oversaw corporate management responsibilities as Chief of Staff.  Virgil also serves on the board of the National Christian Foundation – New Mexico and is active in numerous generosity initiatives. 
















Matthew Ellison, President of Sixteen:Fifteen Ministry



Matthew Ellison currently serves as the President of Sixteen:Fifteen, a ministry that he co-founded in 2004.  Sixteen:Fifteen takes churches through an innovative coaching process that helps them forge a strategic, God-centered, heart-grabbing, missions vision that helps unleash their power and potential to reach the nations.  An integral part of this coaching process is developing an expanded vision for generously funding the Great Commission. 















Mary Alice Higbie, Chairwoman of The St. James Tearoom Inc.,
Partner in St. James Ventures 117 LLC, proud wife of 35 years to James


Higbie (The James, of The St. James), is a mother of two, and a grandmother of 7. She was originally educated at the University of New Mexico getting her Bachelors in Elementary Education and Art Education (1972). She is certified as a Licensed Tea Consultant by The Protocol School of Washington, in Washington D.C. (’98), and speaks and lectures often to groups large and small on The Art of Tea, Professional Etiquette, and Children’s Etiquette. She is also certified by the Southeastern Tea Conference (a tea school), in Columbus, Georgia (99), and has decided that most of what she learned from this school wasn’t applicable to the tearoom she wanted to build anyway. Finally, in her spare, spare time, she is a Professional Japanese Porcelain Artist, associated with the University of New Mexico Ceramic Arts Division and PACA (Porcelain Artists Club of Albuquerque), trained under Sensei Inoui Manji, National Japanese Cultural Living Treasure.  Mary Alice Higbie currently works full time on development and training for The St. James Tearoom, with her son Daniel Higbie, who co-owns The St. James Tearoom.


Dalton Jantzen, Founder, 30 60 100 Ministries



Dalton Jantzen is an oddity. With 40+ years teaching, coaching and equipping men and women to Multiplied Impact, he is a unique combination of real-world business experience and sold-out-for-the-Lord former missionary who has held numerous roles in church and ministry as well as used Christian business principals to solve problems that humans in both worlds have.















Bill Moeny, President of Tetra Corporation


Bill came to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ after receiving his Master of Science degree
in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. He came to Christ as a scientist, carefully examining the evidence. It was a decision based upon the logic of faith in Jesus Christ. Bill worked as a research scientist, first for the Navy and then for the Air ForceWeapons Laboratory in Albuquerque, NM. In 1977,Bill and two other partners formed Tetra Corporation as a company for Christ with God as the fourth and senior partner of the corporation. It was not until Bill joined FCCI in 1977, that he really began to understand what it meant to run a company for Christ. The training and equipping received from FCCI has truly been life changing, a significant instrument of growth in his life as a Christian. Tetra Corporation is a small new-product development corporation developing new mining and drilling equipment based on proprietary technology invented and owned by Tetra Corporation. Having God as the CEO of Tetra is a major benefit in inventing and developing new mining machines. Bill previously served as volunteer Regional Director for the Southwest Region and as Small Group Leader Training Director for FCCI, in addition to his full-time work as president and chief scientist of Tetra Corporation. Bill and Mary Lee have been married for 44 years and have three adult children and four grandsons. Bill leads an FCCI Leadership (Fellowship) Group in Albuquerque, NM and also teaches an Experiencing God course by Henry Blackaby.



John Moore, Founder of John Moore & Associates




After sixteen years with large national brokerage firms, John Moore recognized the need for high quality, independent asset management and consulting services and founded John Moore & Associates, Inc. in 1997 to meet that need.  John is also chairman of the board of Zia Trust, Inc., an independent trust company located here in New Mexico.  John served as the founding president of the New Mexico Planned Giving Council, was instrumental in forming the National Christian Foundation – New Mexico and currently serves on its Board of Directors. He is actively involved in the New Mexico Generous Community Initiative and Kingdom Advisors.  




 

 



Daniel Schuman, Founder, Renew Biblical Solutions



Daniel Schuman is an ordained pastor with over 15 years of counseling experience.  He has his Master's degree in Biblical counseling from Southern Seminary, and is the founder and primary Biblical counselor at Renew Biblical Solutions in Albuquerque, NM.  Daniel also teaches Biblical counseling workshops at churches all over the country.
